Cookies policy
Types of cookies we use, a cookie table, and how accepting or rejecting optional cookies affects your visit.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences and, where allowed, understand how pages are used.
How we use cookies
Devopsedgetech uses essential cookies required for basic site operation (for example remembering your cookie choice) and, only if you accept, analytics cookies that help us see aggregate visit patterns.
Rejecting analytics cookies does not block access to lessons information, forms, or content. The site remains usable.
Cookie table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| devopsedgetech_cookie_consent | Stores your Accept or Reject choice for the cookie banner | Up to 1 year (localStorage) | Devopsedgetech |
| _ga | Distinguishes visitors for analytics (only if accepted) | Up to 2 years | Google Analytics |
| ga* | Maintains analytics session state (only if accepted) | Up to 2 years | Google Analytics |
Essential storage for consent may use localStorage rather than a traditional cookie; it serves the same preference purpose.
Managing cookies
On first visit you can Accept or Reject optional analytics via our banner. You can clear site data in your browser settings at any time, which removes the stored choice and may show the banner again.
Browser controls also let you block cookies generally. Blocking essential storage may reset your consent preference each visit but will not remove lesson pages or contact forms.
Third-party cookies
If analytics are accepted, third-party providers such as Google may set cookies subject to their own policies. We do not control those third-party documents; review them if you want full detail.
Relation to privacy
Personal information practices are described in our privacy policy. Cookie preferences are part of how we respect your choices about optional measurement.
